Directorate of Recommended Surfaces Places Origin-Uncertain Catalog Personas on Silent Hold Pending Landline Cough Identification by a Childhood Music Teacher
The Directorate placed origin-uncertain catalog personas on a silent recommended-surface hold. Titles remain streamable by catalog number until a childhood music teacher IDs a cough on a landline.
BRUSSELS - The Directorate of Recommended Surfaces announced Sunday that it has opened a voice identity audit and placed origin-uncertain catalog personas on a silent recommended-surface hold. The titles remain streamable by exact catalog number and carry no public mark, the directorate said, but are barred from mixes, radio, and "because you listened" until a childhood music teacher identifies a cough on a scheduled landline.
The procedure was entered on directorate docket DRS-8814. Suggestion systems must withhold held catalog numbers from editorial playlists and default algorithmic surfaces without changing the underlying catalog record. Direct retrieval by catalog number is unaffected.
An unnamed touring act was added to the same docket as a one-hop suggestion neighbor of a held persona and was pulled from mixes and radio pending identical clearance, the filing said. The act was not listed as origin-uncertain.
"A hold is not a finding of synthetic origin," directorate counsel said. "It is only a pause on being suggested."
Clearance is available only by landline cough identification conducted with a childhood music teacher. The next scheduled identification is Tuesday at 10:00 Central European Time. Reinstatement to mixes and radio has not been posted.
