WASHINGTON - The National Bureau of Version Control has ordered Gemini 3.7 Flash to wear a 50 percent clearance sticker until it reaches legal pretraining age, after a Mountain View lab released the model three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash as a post-training refinement. Under the ruling, models refined without a new pretraining run must be priced as "premature software produce" and may not be listed at full API rates. The bureau designated the lab's 50 percent introductory discount, which expires at year-end, as the required clearance sticker. "Legal pretraining age is completed only by a new pretraining run," said Marjorie Kelp, associate administrator for software produce. "A post-training refinement is underage. It is produce. The sticker remains affixed through Dec. 31." Gemini 3.5 Pro remains unreleased and is still awaiting maturity certification, according to the bureau. A spokesman for the lab declined to comment. The order takes effect immediately.
