SOUL.md Marked COPY; Free-App #1 Seat Stays in Notes Tray
A COPY stamp on a SOUL.md packet kept the free-app chart's #1 seat in the notes tray. The National Registry of Soul Files will not seat an agent until one clause on the file differs.
WASHINGTON - The National Registry of Soul Files stamped an identical SOUL.md packet COPY on Tuesday and left the free-app chart #1 seat in the notes tray.
Meta's Muse personal agent had taken that chart position after its 8 September launch, with downloads counted in the millions. Users flagged matching workspace filenames and the same configuration file used by the open-source OpenClaw agent. The company said Muse was built from scratch and drew on OpenClaw. Muse runs from a cloud computer, and Shopify later wired the agent into Shop Pay checkout.
A duty clerk said the registry will not seat an agent on the free-app chart until the SOUL.md on the desk differs from every other agent's copy by at least one stamped clause. Matching packets return marked COPY. "A matching file is a matching file. Inspiration does not lift the stamp," the clerk said. "The seat stays in the tray."
A window clerk at a rival lab's annex said OpenClaw's packet had cleared on an earlier date and that Muse's copy sat under the same paper clip. The stamp window stays open through Friday.
