Bureau of Recurring Megawatts Files Monthly Compute Invoices as Household Utilities Pending Magnet on Break-Room Fridge
Monthly compute invoices above bureau threshold are household utilities. Service continues while the bill stays on the break-room fridge under a magnet; a fallen magnet is an interruption.
WASHINGTON - The Bureau of Recurring Megawatts announced Tuesday that a monthly compute invoice above the posted threshold is a household utility. The classification was entered on docket BRM-125-F. The invoice must remain on the break-room fridge under a magnet. Service continues while the magnet holds.
Laboratories must print the bill on a single sheet and affix it at eye height. A facilities clerk inspects the magnet each morning. If the magnet has fallen, service is interrupted until the clerk resticks it and initials the carbon copy.
"A bill that can be filed in a drawer is not a utility," bureau counsel said. "A utility is a bill that the household can see without opening anything."
Invoices stored in email are not posted. The bureau clarified that the fridge is the place of record. A second magnet is kept in a kitchen drawer and may be used only after the first has been entered as lost.
Reclassification as an ordinary vendor payable has not been posted.
