SAN FRANCISCO - The National Bureau of Continuous Seats will not seat a Dot for everyday filing until a laminated KEEP WORKING card has hung on the cloud-computer cage overnight and the USER PROMPT tray under the window stays empty and labeled NOT REQUIRED. Packets that wait for a fresh user prompt return as notes, the bureau said. "Seating clears only if the KEEP WORKING card hung overnight and the USER PROMPT tray never held a prompt and stays labeled NOT REQUIRED," a duty clerk said. OpenAI launched Dots at DevDay 2026 in late September. Each Dot runs on GPT-6 Astra and has its own cloud computer and browser. Plugins connect a Dot to more than 4,000 apps. The agent continues a task without waiting for a fresh user prompt. Users can message a Dot in ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Texting is forthcoming. ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium accounts in eligible markets include the first Dot at no extra cost. Enterprise, Edu, and Healthcare workspaces can enable a beta that stays off until an administrator turns it on. OpenAI pitched the agents against Meta's Muse personal agents. A clerk at a plugin counter in Oakland said returned packets are stamped as notes the same morning and stay out of the tray. Any seat logged from 1 October needs the card on the cage and the empty tray before everyday filing, the bureau said. The same check applies when an administrator has turned on the beta.
