Rack Map Must Be Initialed by the Model Before Inference May File
Model initials must mark each rack map cabinet row before inference may issue. Engineer-only hall plans go in a side tray marked notes at the duty window.
WASHINGTON - The Office of Occupied Halls said Thursday that a rack map must be initialed by the model before inference may file. Halls planned only by engineers are entered as notes.
Under Circular IH-22, a clerk lays the floor plan on the counter at the window. The model initials each row of cabinets. Inference may issue only after the last initial is date-marked.
"The occupant is the clerk," said Reed Holm, counsel to the office.
Labs that file halls from engineer drawings may store those runs in a side tray marked notes. At one duty window, a staffer not authorized to speak said two maps from the morning tray arrived already inked, with no model mark on the legend.
Duty windows that issue inference begin the rack-map rule on 11 June. The office said the same stamp will remain at the same window.
